Flyers announce 23-man opening roster; Barkey on injured reserve

Philadelphia's opening roster has 14 forwards, seven defensemen and goaltenders Dan Vladar and Joseph Woll, per Broad Street Hockey. Denver Barkey, 21, starts on injured reserve and Helge Grans is on the injured non-roster list. Newcomers Acciari and Benoit make their Flyers debuts, and rookie Porter Martone made the team. Philadelphia hosts Pittsburgh on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Flyers sign veteran forward Garrett Wilson to one-year deal; he makes roster

Broad Street Hockey reports Philadelphia signed Garrett Wilson, 35 and the longtime Lehigh Valley captain, to a one-year two-way contract worth $850,000 in the NHL. Flyers Nation reports Wilson took the final roster spot opened by Denver Barkey's injured-reserve placement, edging prospect Knuble.

Rookie Porter Martone made the Flyers' opening roster.
