The roughly $2.3 billion project includes $876 million in public funding from Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa, with Rays ownership covering $1.37 billion plus any construction overruns. Bond validation, funding confirmation and a community benefits agreement remain outstanding before construction begins. Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa have not separately commented.
